Today I published the new font-styles Chords Dot and Scales Dot for neck diagrams. These fonts are an addition to the fonts Chords and Scales expanding the possibilities to create layered chord-, scale- and arpeggio diagrams in Mac OS X and iOS.
Creating Layered Neck Diagrams
Create powerful web presentations without the hassle of importing fretboard images or pdf-files from other applications. Only fonts are used in this video – no images. The guitar chord diagrams are written only within Apple Pages and Keynote taking advantage of the features these applications offer (see also → tutorial).
Chords and Scales Library
By now the Chords and Scales library coming with fonts for neck diagrams includes about 10.000 chord-, scale- and arpeggio diagrams for guitar, not to mention your custom neck diagrams. All these diagrams can be used with the new font styles Chords Dot and Scales Dot as well. Call up the Spotlight menu, choose the neck diagrams you wish to insert and paste them into floating text boxes. Use the fonts Chords Dot and Scales Dot for the upper neck diagram.
